Morocco is in a transition

Morocco is a country that had been exposed to a very long period of bullets or darkness. during that time, a public sphere and freedom of speech was unknown; especially during the colonization period, when one asks for his/her rights, it was like if he/she committed a sin, women and children were tortured and men were imprisoned, so most Moroccans preferred to choose the easy way of life which to remain silent. However nowadays we can say that we can say that morocco is really in a transition from the authoritarian to a semi liberal model when talking about media; this fact can be traced when we are able to watch live debates between different parties, government representative and social activist, and finally discussing some holly issues that were never to be discussed such as the royal family, its revenues and expenditures. Sometimes, while reading some articles either on newspapers or magazines, I get nervous because the author went far beyond where he/she should be, given that he/she is speaking about the caliph of God on earth, or the shadow of God on earth, where in the holy Koran there are some versus that obligate us to follow the ruler and show the total respect an obedience. On the light of this discussion, i want argue that freedom of speech and a total libertarian model is only an ideal model and it is not always good for a given community. it is like when we are talking about democracy, we cannot have democracy if the public is not well educated about his rights and duties, and i think it is the same for the freedom of speech and the free flow of information; if not so, communities might be exposed to the Fitna, which is the case in Iraq.
